Matthew 13:31-32 “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field. It’s the smallest of all the seeds, but when grown, it’s taller than the vegetables and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the sky come and nest in its branches.”
Like the mustard seed, our faith takes time to grow. Every good thing, especially something as meaningful as a relationship with God, needs time, patience, and care. It took me a while to lean on God consistently and not just when it was convenient or easy. But I’ve come to realize that even those years of confusion and inconsistency had a purpose, they were part of the planting.
Sometimes we start out believing simply because we’re told to, but true faith comes when we seek and grow for ourselves.
Let this piece remind you that you're still in the process, and that’s okay, it takes time to go from seed to tree. You’re walking with Christ, day by day, and He holds the watering can. And while your faith may feel small now, your seed is growing, and in time, it may become a place where others find rest, too.
